Hash Calculator for Government
& Regulated Industries
A forensic-grade file integrity tool designed to meet the procurement, compliance, and chain-of-custody requirements of Indian government departments, law-enforcement agencies, BFSI institutions, and other regulated industries.
Why a dedicated page for govt & regulated buyers?
When a government department or BFSI institution evaluates software, the questions go beyond features. Procurement teams want to know: Who controls the data? Which laws govern the contract? How is license sprawl prevented? Is the audit log defensible? This page answers those questions specifically.
Four compliance angles we get asked about
Hostname-bound, audit-ready licensing
Every Hash Calculator license is bound to the hostname and hardware fingerprint of the licensed machine (EULA §1). Cloning to another physical or virtual system is technically prevented and contractually prohibited. For your IT committee: predictable license inventory — one license per attested machine. Zero shadow-IT propagation across departments. Vendor-side audit rights (EULA §13) with liquidated damages for unlicensed use give the committee comfort that enforcement is serious.
CERT-In-aligned tamper-evident logging
CERT-In Direction No. 20(3)/2022-CERT-In requires Indian organizations to maintain logs for at least 180 days. The directive is only useful if the log can be trusted. Hash Calculator's audit log is hash-chained: every row links to the previous row via SHA-256, so tampering with any past entry breaks every subsequent entry. The directive is met in practice, not just on paper — and a single click verifies the chain at any time.
DPDP Act 2023 data residency, by design
Under Section 8(5) of the DPDP Act, Data Fiduciaries must be accountable for personal data they hold. Hash Calculator gives Data Protection Officers a local-first workflow: snapshot personal-data archives at collection, verify on demand at SAR (subject access request) time, log every access in a hash-chained trail. The software does not transmit your case data, audit log, or hashes to us, ever (EULA §9). All data stays in India because all data stays on your machine.
Indian law, Maharashtra courts — zero foreign-jurisdiction risk
All commercial agreements governed by Indian law (EULA §27). Disputes resolved in Maharashtra courts. Support conducted from India in Indian business hours. For government tenders that demand India-incorporated vendor + Indian-jurisdiction contract + India-resident data, Hash Calculator meets all three out of the box — no foreign arbitration clauses, no overseas data transfer, no offshore support escalation.
Sample procurement workflow
From first contact to live deployment in a forensic lab, BFSI security team, or government department.
Initial discovery call (30 min)
Pallavi walks your technical and procurement leads through the live tool, the audit log, snapshot & verify, and the chain-of-custody flow. No slide deck — just the software, your workflow, your questions.
Open-beta evaluation (free, unlimited)
Your team downloads and evaluates Hash Calculator under the EULA's open-beta terms. Test against your real evidence-handling SOPs. Stress-test the audit log. Verify snapshots round-trip correctly. No commitment.
Procurement paperwork (1–2 weeks)
We provide an enterprise EULA addendum, multi-seat license quote, named-account support agreement, and (on request) a DPDP-compliance statement, EULA legal-review walkthrough, and security questionnaire response.
Hostname-bound license issuance
Once the PO is processed, we issue licenses bound to your specific machine hostnames + hardware fingerprints. Your IT committee gets a clear inventory of what's licensed where.
Live deployment + onboarding
Email and phone support for onboarding questions. Named-account escalation path for paid-support customers. Indian business-hours response, in English / Hindi / Marathi.
